How to Apply to Trinity Classical Academy

REGISTRATION OPENS FOR NEW STUDENTS OPENS MARCH 18, 2026.

Admissions Process
Step 1. Attend an Informational Preview Day to learn about Classical Christian education, the expectation of the academy, and the hybrid model that Trinity offers.

Step 2. Required Reading: TCA requires potential families to read An Introduction to Classical Education by Christopher A. Perrin, Mdiv, PhD to better understand the classical Christian educational model.  The required reading must be completed prior to the family interview.

Step 3. Prayerfully consider if Trinity Classical Academy is the right fit for your family.  Questions to consider:  Do you desire a Christian and classical education for your child?  Do you agree with our Statement of Faith? Have you reviewed our handbook, financial commitment policy, and mission statement? Will you uphold the parent partnership agreement at home and actively volunteer and participate in school events when possible?

Step 4. Fill out an application online and pay the application fee.  Again, be sure to read the handbook and tuition commitment carefully.  Once you receive your acceptance letter you are officially enrolled and obligated to pay tuition in full.  New Student Application

Step 5. Submit Teacher Recommendations for each student: Reference Form

Step 6. Submit Pastoral Reference for each student.

Step 7. Student Entrance Exam and Interview- Once we receive a teacher recommendation, you will be contacted to schedule an interview and any necessary entrance exams. Students in grades 7-12 must sign a Student Contract agreeing to Trinity's Statement of Faith, agree to complete their work, and sign that they will adhere to the student honor code.

Step 8. Family Interview- When possible, this will be the same day as the student interview. The purpose of this interview is to discuss your family's educational goals and to ensure that our academy is the right fit for your family. This interview helps us to assess new applicants based on our school’s mission and culture. This is a great time for you to get to know our school better and to get answers to any additional questions you might have.

Step 9. Acceptance Determination from Trinity Classical Academy. Families will be notified via email whether the student has been approved for admission, denied admission, or placed on a waiting list for when a position becomes available.

Post Acceptance Commitments:
  • New students in grades K-6 must take a placement test to determine reading and math level.  This may be administered by the parent or by our learning specialist.  There is a $50 testing fee due the day of testing if parents would like TCA to administer the placement tests.
  • New students in grades 7-12 will be administered a math placement test and a writing assessment.
  • Parents are responsible for purchasing curriculum and school supplies.  We will provide a Welcome Email that will include links to all required books and a list of school supplies needed for each grade.
  • Parents are also required to attend Parent Orientation.
